• Counselling sessions can be face to face (within my home), via phone or video link.
• Sessions are for one hour and the cost is 45 pounds. If this is not affordable for you at this time please make contact and we can discuss reduced cost options.
• I agree to work with you to understand and explore whatever you bring to the session.
• I will be available at the times we agree and will ensure that our sessions end on time.
• In the unlikely event of needing to cancel I will aim to give 24 hours’ notice (unless exceptional circumstances).
• All contact with yourself and information which you may share is confidential unless I have significant concerns for your safety or the safety of others. In this instance I will support you during the session, but I can act without your consent if necessary.
• I will access supervision to support our work together. Your identity and confidentiality will be concealed.
• To respect your confidentiality if we should meet outside of sessions, I will not acknowledge you unless you choose to.
• I agree to work towards a planned ending whenever possible.
• I will collect, process, and store your personal information in line with EU General Data Protection Regulations May 2018.
• I ask you to agree to attend the sessions as planned between us.
• Give 24 hours’ notice if you are unable to attend. If notice is not given the payment for one hour will be incurred (unless exceptional circumstances).
• Let me know if you decide to discontinue your counselling sessions or require a break in sessions.
• To understand that if you are late for a session the full session fee will apply and I am not able to extend the session (unless exceptional circumstance).
• Our communication between sessions will be to make, change or cancel appointments unless we have prior agreement.
Privacy Notice.
Your data is stored securely and confidentially and used in a safe and ethical manner in line with EU General data Protection Regulations May 2018. It is not shared with other people without your consent.
Right to access. You have the right to access a copy of your personal information, free of charge in an electronic or paper format. You also have the right to ask me to amend or correct any incorrect information about you.
Right to be Forgotten. You have the right to ask me to erase any information that I hold about you. This includes your personal information that is no longer relevant to original purposes or if you wish to withdraw consent. These rights are obligatory unless it is information that I have a legal obligation to retain.
Data portability. As the client you have the right to receive personal information which you previously provided and have the right to transfer that information to another party.
For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018 the ‘data controller’ is Lorraine Popsys of Lorraine Popsys Counselling.
